The Atlantic has a list of interesting ideas in various categories. Who cares to argue with number four?

I like it! Actually, I've tried to take a Sabbath from my laptop for a while now. I don't always make it--it can be so tempting to see who thought I was important enough to write to or who has been commenting on the site...I spend so much time in front of my computer all week though, it's one of the best ways to really decompress and connect with other important things in life.
Ya, companies from Intel to Google are working to increase productivity by having time outs on device usage. That's significant because they're high tech companies themselves.
Very good!
Ahem.
I would love to see that fourth suggestion implemented, but where would we get all the lovely content for our Spectrum blog every day - or for all the other important blogs out there?
Who cares to not only argue for this point but challenge Mr. Alexander Carpenter to try it out for a month?
Isn't Sabbath the busiest day for SDA blogs?
When I read the piece above, it reminded me of a discussion in a Sabbath School class about when showers for the Sabbath should be taken. An extremely orthodox SDA lady insisted that they should be taken before sundown on Friday and none on Saturday. A business man put his hand up and said, "I shower every morning, would you want less on the Sabbath?"
For those who utilize on-line Bibles, Google for answers to questions posed, etc....... Why would you want less on the Sabbath???
Sheesh.
The point is not: no web on Saturday.
The idea is that we might consider a rest - a break from our routine to focus directly on GOD and in-person relationships. This is actually the principle of keeping the Sabbath. I don't care which day or time one does it - I'm trying to think of ways that I can model it myself, as my sister in Christ Audrey encourages me.
God in not monolithic, ONLY LOVE, or ONLY anything!!!! If I can use the web to find more knowledge of Him why would you want to suggest a holiday from it.
Why do you think Christ walked through the field eating the grain, to provoke those that had a faulty notion about how to keep the Sabbath, right?
I know some forums that their members will not post on the Sabbath. Good for them, bad for the discussion that might advance into a better understanding of Him or some religious issue.
