Florida Hospital College President David Greenlaw talks to Spectrum about creating a different kind of educational institution and how Adventism can reach outside itself to the broader community.

Question: You are the founder of Florida Hospital College of Health Sciences. Can you describe what inspired you to start the college, and what led up to its opening?

Answer: First, some background might help. Florida Hospital is the largest SDA institution in the world. It has had a constant need for new professionals in nursing and allied health.

Recovery efforts suspended for freshman Sheri Booth

Walla Walla University
has been deeply saddened by the loss of Shari Booth, a freshman biology major.

On Monday, May 19, WWU freshman Shari Booth was reported missing after a dive with her Advanced SCUBA class. Searchers suspended recovery efforts on Tuesday evening.

CUC's New President Talks About 'The Plan'

After lots of bad news from Columbia Union College over the past several years, new president Weymouth Spence has announced sweeping changes on the campus in a document approved at the March 5 Board meeting and known as The Plan.

The Seventh-day Adventist Church's attitude towards organized labor is rooted in its eschatology (1), which informs its policies towards "worldly" political institutions, such as governments, trade unions, or political parties.

Zach (you might remember him from the Redbooks play) sits down with President Osborn and talks about his summer at Harvard, whether or not Texas can have a liberal college, and the new department on campus.
